Checkers is my little baby. She has been my constant companion since she was 6 weeks old. We have a very tight bond and she shows her love for me in many way. I saw an ad saying free kittens. I wanted to just look, since I wasn't planning to get another cat. Well... as fate decided, she came home with me. She spent the first night in bed with me at a motel. Ever since then, she has been my special girl.
	Josie was a cat that came to us thru a neighbor. She was found at the far end of town being teased by some kids. She ran to my neighbors car and was picked up and put inside. She didn't seem afraid and my neighbor called me asking if we would take her. We had just lost a cat recently to an illness so I agreed. Well... a few weeks later, she presented us with 5 kittens. Not something we expected, after all she was no more then 7 or 8 months herself. We found loving homes for all except Puffy, who stayed with us. Josie is now spayed and enjoying the couch life.
	When Puffy was born, we were all amazed. He was the spitting image of a cat named Puff we had just sent to the bridge. We knew right then and there, he was meant to stay with us. Puffy is a cat that loves to leap after toys and who loves to play with water. He always asks for ice cubes and will climb into the bathtub. He is my mother's cat and can be found most of the time on her lap or next to her.
AFRA VOM HAUS WEINBRAND Afra is our protector. While she may look sweet, she won't let you in the house without our permission. She also won't tolerate any kind of violence toward us or the shelties. Yet with the cats and shelties, she is gentle and very loving. She allows puppies to crawl on her, bite her face and steal her food. She consists of German lines and her parents are trained in both SCH and IPO III. She has also had some Schutzhund training. Afra is not available for breeding.
